Need to hire an affordable creative space?
Improv Theatre Sydney venue spaces are perfect for show and ensemble rehearsals, self tapes, workshops for voice, theatre, movement. It’s where we run our own workshops and shows.
You can hire any of the four spaces for rehearsal venues, or hire the Theatre to put on a show. Additional rates and terms apply to put on a ticketed show – please reach out to info@improvtheatresydney.com.au to book in one of these.

Studio One has street access as well as internal access. It is 4m x 6m. It has air conditioning, a whiteboard wall, and can have a board table and project made available upon request. It’s the pink room at the end of the hall.
The Studio is the street front space at Improv Theatre Sydney, blocked from view by some beautiful red theatre curtain. The space has carpeted floors, black studio chairs, a white board and its own entrance from the street. The space is ideal for rehearsal, writing sessions (boardroom table and projector available upon request), brainstorming sessions (the wall has a whiteboard).
Studio Three was our old theatre space before we expanded next door. The space is inside ITS, past the bar. It’s an ideal rehearsal and test space.
The Hall is the largest space at Improv Theatre Sydney. This room has high-ceilings and ample chairs provided. The space is 6.2m by 11m and contains a small black riser than can used as a rehearsal stage.
Terms of Use of Improv Theatre Space Venue Hire
Bookings are available only through this website for hourly periods.
Discounted rates are offered for ITS students. All prices are inclusive of GST.
Cancellations can be before five full days before booking to receive a full refund minus a 10% processing fee. Cancellations within five days of the hire will incur 100% fee. Bookings cannot be made within 24hrs of booking time and date, so that we can make sure we can effectively arrange to have the space open and available for you.
The venue is expected to be left in the same conditions as they were when hired. Rubbish is to be left in the bins in the main bar room, or in the bins through the double doors behind the theatre. Please remember to turn off the lights and AC before leaving.
