Our venue spaces are perfect for show and ensemble rehearsals, self-tapes, writing sessions, or any work with theatre, voice or movement. They’re where we run our own workshops and shows, and we think they’re pretty cute.
You can find out more about each of our spaces below, and book them by the hour for private use.
All our spaces come with chairs, whiteboards and air conditioning. Trestle tables and projectors can be made available on request. Have other needs, or not sure which space is right for you? Get in touch!

The plush red chairs in Studio One make it perfect for writing and brainstorming, but it also works well for rehearsals or jam sessions for small groups. It has internal access and street access.
Studio Two opens onto the street front, and is shielded from view by beautiful red theatre curtains. It’s a large space that’s great for rehearsals, developments or workshops.
Formerly our theatre before we expanded next door, Studio Three has become an ideal space for rehearsals, test sessions, and brainstorming. It has internal access, through the foyer and just past the bar.
True to its name, our Theatre has a stage space and ample seating on a retractable riser. It’s great for presentations, rehearsals or anything with a large group. It comes with a moveable sound wall for self-tapes.
Terms of Use of Improv Theatre Space Venue Hire
Spaces are available for hourly bookings for private use and are subject to availability.
Discounted rates are offered for ITS students and those working to better the lives of members of marginalised communities. All prices are inclusive of GST.
Spaces are not for rehire, and hirers may not charge admission to attendees. Please see our Show Bookings page to arrange a public show, or contact us if you would like to put on a public workshop.
Cancellations at least five full days before booking time will receive a full refund minus a 10% processing fee. Cancellations within five days of the hire will not be refunded. Bookings cannot be made within 24hrs of booking time and date — this is so that we can make sure we can effectively arrange to have the space open and available for you.
The venue is expected to be left in the same condition as at the start of hire. Rubbish is to be left in the bins provided, and floors should be vacuumed. Please remember to turn off the lights and AC before leaving. The use of glitter and similarly messy substances is prohibited, and will incur a hefty cleaning fee.
