Details: Improv Theatre Sydney (ITS) is a creative, inclusive and world-class school for students of improvisation. We are also Sydney’s first dedicated Improv theatre. ITS endeavours to evolve and be recognised as the home of Improv in Sydney and a leader in the improv community globally.  We are an emerging collaborative hub for international improv in the Southern Hemisphere. The successful applicant will contribute to the vision and mission, and do their part to be Australia’s premier institution for improv classes and shows.

Improv Theatre Sydney (ITS) is on the lookout for an External Services Coordinator to help run our corporate, schools and coaching programs. We’re looking for someone to fill this role on a permanent part-time basis with scope to grow as the business evolves. 

External Services Coordinator Tasks

  • Receiving and responding to corporate and schools workshop enquiries from potential clients
  • Creating tailored proposals and presenting them to clients in a pitch session, either in person or online. 
  • Securing workshop sales and coordinating teachers, including venue and travel arrangements if required. 
  • Facilitating payment and follow up reviews with the client post workshop.
  • Tracking all sales and marketing data.
  • Managing additional workshops and coaching requests. 
  • Working on expansion projects, including: 
    • Reviving ITS school holiday workshops
    • Creating an afterschool class program for under-18s
    • Creating an outbound corporate strategy to turn our corporate service from reactive to proactive. 

The External Services Coordinator role reports to the General Manager, but is generally self directed. This role requires strong administrative skills, exceptional interpersonal communication,  an expertise in organising and managing people, as well as a love for improv and all things ITS!

Eligibility/Other Requirements: Applicants should be aware of and able to apply the ITS Code of Conduct.

The successful applicant will be expected to have strong administration skills with Google Suite, as well as utilising social platforms to communicate and manage people. A background in improvised Theatre is also desirable for this position however relevant experience in Theatre and/or comedy will also be acceptable.

Applicants should be Sydney based or able to be in Sydney on a semi-regular basis.
