Liam Webber

Liam (he/him) is a British improviser and theatre-maker currently based in Sydney. Liam has performed all over the world from New York to Copenhagen to Wellington and beyond, is co-founder and co-artistic director of the Robin Hood International Improv Festival in Nottingham, and in 2023 was festival director of the ITS Comedy Festival. He now has the role of programming shows at ITS, and regularly performs with Spill It! and Speakerbox.

As an improviser he has been influenced by a wide variety of schools of thought. A graduate of iO Chicago, he’s worked with theatre artists from all over the world, from improvisers, to Olivier-award-winning actors, to Gaulier clowns.

Improv loves: That feeling of falling at the beginning of a scene where I don’t know what’s going to happen, you don’t know what’s going to happen, but we both know we’re about to have a great time.

Comedy hero: Jorin Garguilo

Offstage: I make pottery, play soccer with Maddie and Hayden, and love to garden!
