The Improv Variety Night! One hour, 5 groups, each performing a completely different improv show. Including:

Ordinary Magic by Extraordinary Brothers

An intimate 10 minutes of powerful, improvised magic. Davis, who once fooled Penn and Teller by making them both fall in love with him, and Nathaniel, who never really had “it”, will fuse alakazzzzzzzzzam with yes-and, to make AlakaYesAnd. Be mesmerised, be moved and be a part of the magic as these brothers create never-before-seen-never-to-be-seen-again tricks that’ll make you say “Is that even legal?!”. So please, come and see these brothers master the two coolest forms of live performance – Magic and Improv.

Keep or KonMari?

For those of us who struggle with cleaning stuff out to make room for new stuff, be warned; your receptacles that once held joy might take on a life of its own! You only have one question to ask yourselves: Keep or KonMari? Inspired by the tidy lifestyle teachings of Marie Kondo, this solo act between object and character delves deep into the recesses of the past, as we set to let go of those dust magnets that once held meaning. But the danger of some Yokai (or a burgeoning issue with materialism) threatens to swallow our performer whole, our possessions possessed with clinging to our hapless hoarder forever! Who will win in this battle between junkyard Jekyll vs. haunted Hyde? Think if King Arthur had a bad relationship with Excalibur or something.

Simprov

Simprov is an ensemble show where the audience has just enough power to flip our world on its head. Tell dad to get off the phone, you’re dialing up the internet and logging on for a mega sesh on the family desktop. Join raucous improvisers Georgina Pender, Jayce Carrano, Carla Field and Martin Quinn on a journey through Simlish, unexplainable fires, disappearing fences and a lil bit of woohoo, as we play out the fate you set.
