Galactapedia / Brittle Women
Galactapedia
“Accessible, character-driven, whimsical and entertaining” – (Theatreview NZ).
Galactapedia – Thumbing through the universe! A live, improvised, full-cast audio-drama! Romp through space with this whacky adventure, inspired by The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. Join a motley crew of space adventurers, aided by the overly detailed, fully voiced, and occasionally correct reference book the Galactapedia,
Created in the moment, with live sound effects to immerse you in the off-the-wall universe of Galactapedia, an eggbeater becomes the background hum of a spaceship, a plastic bag the crackle of blaster fire, a spoon and egg carton the footsteps of an emotional robot, which emotion? You, the audience, decide!
Episode 1 delighted audiences at New Zealand Improv Festival 2019, with haunted ghost ducks, a “physiologically cylindrical” -(theatreview) spaceship captain, and a daring escape from the tractor planet. All episodes are unrelated, non-chronological, and potentially radioactive. So get ready for the next standalone season/episode/explosion of Galactapedia!
Directed by a functionally blind improvisor this show is designed to be accessible to blind audiences, and fun for everyone!
Brittle Women
The Brittle Women are tall, gorgeous and tall. Join Emily Small, Gita Pastro and Lara Newman as they return to the ITS ComFest stage, flipping through their rolodex of parody songs and sketches in a classic roundup ‘Best Of’ show.
