The Bear (But Not Stressful) / Song Inspired

Improv Theatre Sydney’s O.G. house team is back in the kitchen to cook up some silliness, with their signature All-In format, where each improviser (or “chef”) must be involved in every scene.

It’s a bevy of fast-paced group scenes set in and around the kitchen, like the critically acclaimed TV show The Bear, but you’ll laugh instead of sweat nervously. YES CHEF!

Throughout history songs have inspired us, encouraged us and given us wisdom. Everything little thing’s gonna be alright, You are beautiful, no matter what they say, Cause I ain’t gonna live forever, I just want live while I’m alive. Sing with me, sing for the year, sing for the laughter, and sing it for the tear.

Whatever the story, this show will take your favourite ear worm or inspirational anthem and make a whole show based on it.

It’s long form. Pairs. It’s not (just) about funny, it’s about your song and the world that surrounds it.

Join Synthesis: Alistair Magee and Cindy Tonkin. They have been improvising friends for a long time. It shows on stage. There’s a level of trust that you don’t get any other way. Alistair is a Clown, Actor and Improv Coach and Teacher. Cindy teaches Improv, makes visual art and sings shanties for the fun of it. Between them they have improvised on stages in the US, UK and Europe and of course Sydney. Come see it happen.
