Level 4: The Scene

We are currently updating our back-end software. Classes for Term 3 2022 starting on the 23rd of July will be on sale from June the 16th.

You’ve developed your sense of ensemble and sharing the stage with a troupe in Level 1. In Level 2, you came to realise what ITS thinks about character and relationships. Then, in Level 3, you’ve honed the craft of the stage and played your first grad shows with snappy comedic scenes, quick edits, tight patterns and game play. Now it’s time to settle down and fine tune our scene work so that we’ve got it all in play to make longer formats meaningful in their comedy, using the relationships and craft already under our belts. Focusing on two person scenes, each week you will build your confidence on the stage, using silence, scene work and emotion to make choices that inspire you and your partner. This level culminates with the long form format known as La Ronde.

NOTE: This class is only open to students who have completed Level 3: The Stage.

This class runs for nine weeks; eight weeks of classes followed by a grad show in the ninth week.

Classes meet once a week for 2.5 hours.

Registration is $470 / $440 concession. Price includes a 2.9% non-refundable booking fee.
