Laura Hughes

Laura Hughes is a comedian, writer and actor. In 2011, Laura began her stand-up career as a National finalist in the RAW Comedy competition. She was then hand-picked by the Melbourne International Comedy Festival for the Comedy Zone showcase in 2012. Since then, Laura has done multiple solo shows to sold out crowds at the comedy festivals and performs regularly across the country and overseas.

Laura is a regular face on Australian TV appearing on such shows as: At Home Alone Together (ABC), 8MMM Aboriginal Radio (ABC), Open Slather (Foxtel), Legally Brown (SBS), Problems (ABC) and Compulsory Entertainment (Online). Laura also appeared across two seasons of the TBS series The Detour created by Samantha Bee and Jason Jones.

Laura has spent the last decade honing her unique comedy style in LA, performing across the States and studying at the prestigious improvisation schools; Upright Citizens Brigade and Groundlings.
