Jen Mackie
Jen completed her training with ITS in 2016, and has been performing with the ITS ensemble since. She completed training in Chicago at iO in 2018. Jen and fellow ITS faculty member Maddie Parker started the popular character-improv duo The Wine Mums in 2018, where they explore traditional scenic improv as well as diving deep into their beloved Boomer Mum characters, Jan and Marie. The Wine Mums won ITS Smackdown in 2019, have performed to sold out audiences throughout Sydney, and plan to make their MICF debut when borders and vaccines allow.
Jen’s passion and specialty in improv is deeply grounded character work and long form scenic work. Jen teaches with ITS, facilitates the ITS Open Jams and regularly performs with the ensemble. Outside of improv, she works in marketing and has found improv to have a hugely positive impact on her professional life. She’s also a gun at the crossword and loves riding her bike and listening to podcasts.
