Harriet Gordon-Anderson

Harriet is a Sydney based actor and theatre maker. In high school she jumped onto the Theatresports bandwagon with Impro Australia, and then found her way into writing and performing sketch comedy with the Arts Review and Make Way for Ducklings at USYD. In 2015 she graduated form WAAPA, and currently teaches acting, improv, and theatre making at Australian Performing Arts Grammar School. Harriet also regularly develops new comedies & works for wom*n on Sydney stages as a founding member of the Ignite Collective.

As an actor, Harriet has performed across Australia and the UK with Bell Shakespeare, Malthouse Theatre Co., Griffin Theatre Co., Black Swan STC, Darlinghurst Theatre Co., Kings Cross Theatre, Next Wave, The Genesian, Sydney Fringe, and Perth Fringe.

She’s had the great pleasure of touring Malthouse’s Picnic At Hanging Rock to The Barbican theatre in London, and the Royal Lyceum Theatre in Edinburgh.

Her screen credits include The Greenhouse (feature, Everyone We Know Films), Mr Inbetween s2 (Fox Showcase), Love Child s4 (Nine Network), The Secret Daughter s1 (Seven Network), Intimate, A Room that Fits, Little Girl Lost, Your Mob Our Mob, Swiss Avalanche, and Splendours of a Mind (short films).

Harriet is a Green Room Award and Performing Arts WA Award nominee, and a proud member of MEAA since 2015. She’s a character-driven improviser who advocates for vulnerability and risk taking on stage, and is a big fan of making a fool of herself.
