Daynia Tupou

Daynia Tupou (she/her) is a Tongan-Australian production extraordinaire building a new career within the arts industry (film production). With a strong ten-year history in corporate grocery sales, this has helped to build a large number of transferrable skills that she has been able to bring as she transitions fields.

Daynia found improv in 2023, originally looking to build skills to run TTRPGs for her friends and family, but very quickly found an incredible space where she could proudly be herself, have a laugh and make some great connections along the way.

Daynia graduated from ITS at the end of 2024 and is now part of the ITS House Team ‘Pompadour’. She also sits on our Board of Directors.

Improv loves: Getting to build scenes from even just the smallest thing, whether it be a sound, a small movement or even watching how someone has walked into the scene!

Comedy heroes: Aabria Iyengar and Rehka Shankar

Offstage: I love bouldering, running TTRPG campaigns, baking and reading

Favourite improv advice: Remember to also have a life outside of improv — you always pull from what you experience so get out there and live life!
