Clare Cavanagh
Clare is an award-winning writer, improviser and actor who has worked across stage and screen. Aside from regularly performing with the ITS Ensemble, she has twice been invited to perform at UCB’s Del Close Marathon. Clare was a founding member of improv troupe Confetti Gun, and has trained with ITS, UCB and Second City.
Her writing and acting credits include The Set, Tonightly with Tom Ballard and Prank You Very Much. Clare’s web-series, How to Be Queer, won Melbourne Queer Film Festival’s 2020 Pitch Pleez competition. Her writing has been shortlisted for a number of other awards, including the Rebel Wilson Comedy Commission and Queer Screen’s Pitch Off. Clare has toured two solo sketch shows around the country; her debut show Thrilled You’re Here! was an official FRESH selection for the Sydney Comedy Festival.
Alongside writing and performing, Clare teaches improv across Sydney to adults, primary school students, high school students and in corporate settings. At ITS, she teaches improv classes and coaches house teams.
