Our teachers regularly work in and with schools to support drama teachers in finding innovative ways to approaching devising projects, creating characters, analysing texts, and more.

Want to learn playbuilding skills that will give you an advantage in devising your school drama projects? Keen to get a headstart on your HSC Group Performance? or just have fun?
All of our school holidays workshops are designed to help students get confident with skills explored in the classroom as part of the NSW Drama syllabus for stages 3-5 and HSC. See how our workshops link to the syllabus here.
Not to mention you’ll connect with like-minded students and have a bunch of fun. It’s the perfect creative outlet in the school break!

Summer Drama Workshop
Come have some playful, silly fun at our 1-day Drama Workshop these school holidays! Learn the skills of spontaneous creativity and collaboration, and the concept of “yes, and…” in a relaxed and supportive environment. Create fun and engaging characters, and make up stories on the spot! Get confident with skills explored in the classroom as part of the NSW Drama syllabus. Connect with like-minded students and have a ton of fun! There will be a short performance for family & friends, at 3 pm.

Looking for something for ages 13 – 17?
We aren’t currently running workshops for that age group but hope to do so soon! If you are interested in workshops for ages 13-17? Join our waiting list!
Who are our tutors?
Our school holiday workshop tutors are all current teachers at Improv Theatre Sydney. They are trained and experienced improvisers, performers and educators who have loads of experience teaching and working with young people.
They have taught for ATYP, Marian St Theatre, Belvoir St Theatre, NIDA, Impro Australia, as well as in primary and secondary schools right across NSW and Australia. All of our school holiday workshop tutors have a current Working With Children Check.
