There is always more juice! with Ryan Knighton

There Is Always More Juice! Is a workshop that trains improvisers to turn curiosity about their partners into endless inspiration and generation. Inspired by the difference between playing with familiar collaborators (where you can almost anticipate each other) and playing with strangers (where self‑doubt can creep in), this workshop encourages getting genuinely excited by what others bring, and letting that excitement propel the next surprising offer.

The focus is on observing and celebrating what’s onstage, in both content and form, so inspiration begets further inspiration and scenes grow in non‑linear, thematically connected ways. It’s about listening with your heart as well as your head; if everyone brings that joy, there is always more juice.

Testimonials

“You provide a skillful mix of genuine warmth and professionalism, making us feel supported as people and as performers. The culture you build in your workshops is the warmest and healthiest of any I have experienced from any creative discipline.”

“Ryan provides a safe, supportive space to collaborate and develop as an actor and a team member. Bringing in people of different experiences and having us work together was beneficial to everyone and created something special. Not once did I feel unsupported which allowed me to play at a whole nother level.”

“Ryan helped me examine my own self talk while improvising and ultimately break through negative thoughts I used to have that at times would leave me feeling paralysed and unsure what to do next. We worked on this in rehearsal.
An example I remember is when I was fumbling in a scene and as the facilitator Ryan paused the scene and asked me what I think should happen next. I froze and said “I don’t know” he kindly said “no answer is wrong” when I then said what I think should go next he triumphantly yelled “YES!” It was a pivotal moment for me that helped me push past the voice in my head saying my idea might not be good enough for the scene.
I could really feel a difference in the way I improvised with the other players in rehearsed and our shows”
