The Ring and I

Everyone’s favourite vengeful ghost has had a lot of time to herself for the past 20 years. Life sure can get lonely at the bottom of a well, and murdering unsuspecting viewers of her avant-garde short film just doesn’t bring her the same satisfaction anymore. It’s time for Sadako to reach new audiences by embracing the magic of live theatre, and maybe, just maybe, she’ll find a grown-up friend she can play with forever.

Devised by award-winning performer Kimie Tsukakoshi, The Ring and I is a darkly sexy horror-comedy cabaret based on the 1998 Japanese horror film. A mix of original songs and covers, with a dash of burlesque, the show explores themes such as isolation, female rage and everyone’s favourite topic, the vicious cycle of generational trauma… through song!
