The Devil’s in the Details with Tim Orr
Sometimes I like to call improv “the process of continuously noticing”. So, what can we notice in scenes and stories? There are so many details, both big and small everywhere around us when we improvise: the environment, objects, our characters, other people’s characters, the weather, it’s a vast playground of endless possibilities.
When we take the time to look around and notice things in improv, what do we see? How we can use this information to define and propel our scenes? And what does that do to our improv in general, when we slow down and notice?
There’s a rich world of detail there for us in every scene, if we take the time to see it!

– “Thank you again for teaching our class. We are blessed to have had an improviser of your talent and mastery even being willing to take the time to teach a class at all much less with such energy, enthusiasm and dedication. This class was a rare gift – and it was not lost on any of us.”
– “Thank you for a marvelous learning experience. Your skills in both performing and teaching the complex simplicity of improv continue to amaze me! Also, the curriculum really worked well for me with each class having a unique and different focus while also providing the needed overlap to integrate the parts.
