New Australian Musical

“They were commissioned to create a one act musical, the day has come, local big time producers have arrived, and they have nothing. Now it’s up to you, the audience, to help this cast create a brand NEW AUSTRALIAN MUSICAL! Stay after the show to hear a Q&A on why certain creative choices were made.

‘New Australian Musical’ is not your typical improv show. Leaning into the tropes of musical theatre, watch as a cast of comedians, online celebrities, and theatre dorks (Elliot Ulm, Edan McGovern, Orya Golgowsky, Jacinta Gregory, Nick Harriott) weave a genuine one act musical with your help. Earnest, stupid, but promising to feature show stopping numbers, will this musical be in dirty 1800s London? On a distant spaceship circling the globe? At the Newtown Hotel? The possibilities are endless. Can you hear the people sing? Will you defy gravity?”

This show will be opened for by one of Improv Theatre Sydney’s hilarious House Teams.
