Katherine Weaver: Happy Fail

THE WORKSHOP

Do you remember how much you love improv? The Joy of playing in the moment. The fun of surprising yourself and your partner. Are you now tormented by the need to be perfect? Do you keep wanting to get it right? Let’s rediscover the sense of play together!

In this workshop we will do games and exercises that encourage us to fail joyfully, giving our scene partners and the audience a great time as we recover quickly and build trust.

THE TEACHER

Katherine Weaver is the Artistic Director of Impro Melbourne. She has being performing, directing and teaching for over 15 years. Katherine teaches many Keith Johnstone exercises as well as her own and follows the school of thought that improvisation can be used for Theatre, storytelling, comedy and more… Her love of performing is only matched by her love of teaching, which she has been honoured to do on a regular basis in Melbourne and at festivals in Wurzburg Germany, Wellington New Zealand, Adelaide, Brisbane and Canberra.
