Inside Out Improv with Lily Hensby

THE WORKSHOP
Ever gotten halfway into a scene and thought “Wait, who am I? What’s y character’s deal?” Ever felt adrift and ungrounded in scenes that go nowhere? This workshop will help you find your way.
Drawing on a Groundlings approach to character work, we’ll explore how to find the emotion and perspective your character already have on the inside, then bring them out to drive your scene forwards.
Rather than starting with external things and reverse engineering your character, we’ll start by finding characters’ points of view and use them to enhance scenework, boost the narrative and find specificity.
