Impro sensorial with Andrea Ferpo

Join Andrea Ferpo for Impro Sensorial! The “Impro Sensorial” invites us to explore all the capabilities that an instrument can have when it connects correctly with its own emotions and potentialities.

This creative method proposes letting our areas of interest improvise. That means taking us into account when creating our proposals.

During the training we will investigate our memories, our tastes and preferences in the use of testimonies, objects and different ways of linking our emotions with our way of acting. We try to find innovative scenes and proposals when we improvise, and sometimes we stray too far from ourselves for that to happen. This method proposes us to look inside ourselves and see the inexhaustible universe of creative material that we all have. Furthermore, this training is based on constant sensory stimulation and total awareness of our emotions when we are creating.

This workshop seeks to become a space with the security and freedom to express the realities we dream of, giving them life through an improvised stage.

Students will need a notebook, an object that reflects them, comfortable clothing and a bottle of water.

Andrea Ferpo is an Actress, Improv teacher and Psychodrama therapist graduated in Buenos Aires,
Argentina. Director of Marandí arte escénico, a multidisciplinary school and an artistic company in Lima, Perú.

This workshop is aimed at people with or without experience in Improv who seek to grow their sensory and poetic language on stage. Some performance experience is desirable but not essential.

This is a 6 hour Workshop over 2 days, 3hrs per session. This workshop will meet at Improv Theatre Sydney.

Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 Oct, 10am – 1pm.
