Creating Connections: Characters and Confidence
THE WORKSHOP
Lets connect! And while we’re at it lets slow right down until we’re barely moving. Shhhhhhh don’t think about… just say “YES! LETS!”
This 3 hour workshop is about focusing on bringing awareness to the body and connecting with yourself, your scene partner and characters! We’ll explore connecting, taking risks, creating space, slowing down and making big character choices. It’s about giving you tools to harness that ‘fake it to you make it’ confidence and committing to character choices wholeheartedly without holding back.
We will be utilising techniques learnt from my background in performance art, stand up, drag and improv. Combining techniques learnt from my study with Marina Abramovic and Lynsey Pieisinger with my knowledge of developing characters through my art practice.
Aimed at any improviser with improv experience, equivalent to ITS Level 5 and above!
