Characters from the Heart with Jason Geary

This is a workshop to sharpen your character skills. Over the course of six hours we’ll run through various methods to bring characters to the stage that have real depth, humour, emotion and empathy.

About the teacher

Jason Geary is a vetran of improv in Australia. He’s been improvising for over 30 years. Player, Director and Artitc Director, Jason formats have been played all over the world. He’s currently part of the touring company for the smash hit improv show Murder Village. He was a part of the Cast of Thank God You’re Here, but you might know him as the guy from those iSelect ads.

Characters from the Heart | 1 day workshop | Sun 21 June | 10–5pm

Suitable for improvisers who have completed ITS Level 3 (or with equivalent theatre elsewhere, at ITS’ discretion). Students should a basic understanding of scenework, play and process to get the most out of this workshop.

This workshop takes place at Improv Theatre Sydney, 44-54 Botany Road, Redfern

Please arrive 10 mins early and ready for the class to start at 10am.
