Character and Dialogue Intensive ONLINE

Some writers deliver a masterpiece that was inspired by a single moment, or a chance conversation they overheard. Others see a character and follow them. Sometimes, you do both. In this workshop, you’ll discuss the importance of authentic characters and how they are the ultimate storytellers in your work, whether you are writing for performance or text. The workshop will also delve into dialogue essentials.

This intensive will cover:

  • Dialogue and character voices
  • Other character essentials – status, behaviours, relationships and more
  • Studies of memorable characters from film and television
  • How to work with your characters
  • Exercises to develop your characters
  • Writing from character

This intensive class is suitable for any level of storyteller who is interested in better understanding the significance of developing and writing from character.

“What a beautiful experience it has been. A delight to truly understand how Amal does what she does on a deeper level and it has certainly inspired me to dive deeper into the world of expression on paper of my own life story.
