25-Hour Soap Opera Marathon

This show has been cancelled.
We’ve made the decision to cancel this year’s 25-hour soap marathon this Friday 19th Dec – Sat 20th Dec, in light of last night’s tragedy in Bondi. 

We’re of course big believers in comedy’s ability to bring people together and provide light in dark times; this show does not feel like the right answer for this moment. We felt it best for our community to cancel and will aim to bring this show back in the future. 

Ticket holders have been contacted and have the option to receive a full refund or continue to donate their tickets to our selected charities.

ITS is seeing out the year with one of our most audacious shows to date: a 25-hour-long marathon of back-to-back soap opera episodes!

December is always a busy time, and nowhere is busier than the Algernon department store, where the staff are working around the clock, and customers are there to shop ’til they drop! What secrets are going on in the stock room? Who will swear revenge in menswear? Is romance in the air in the perfume department? What festive miracles will take place?

Join your favourite ITS teachers and friends as they give you quantity AND quality improv, made up entirely before your very eyes!

Purchase a single ticket for a 2-hour show, a quarter marathon ticket for 3 shows in a row, or a marathon ticket to let you come and go as you please!

Shows start at: Friday 7pm, 9pm, 11pm, Saturday 1am, 3am (Medieval Fantasy special), 5am, 7am, 9am, 11am (PG Family-Friendly special), 1pm, 3pm, 5pm (3-hour finale).

All profit from ticket sales will be divided between three charities: The Sameer Project (a mutual aid org in Gaza), Mudgin-Gal (a First Nations womens’ space in Chippendale) and Beyond Bricks and Bars (a trans-led decarceration project).
