Come along to one of our taster sessions, held before every term. A cute and casual 1-hour class to try before you buy.
Level 1: THE OFFER
Release your inner-whatever you want! Find easy ways to access free flow of thought, trust and hone your story-telling intuition, and do it all in a cozy environment, creating a core ensemble. This class is great for people new to improv or improvisers and actors who want to break habits and get back to simple, basic fun. No experience necessary!

Level 2: The Character
Level up! Time to use those foundational skills to learn to create interesting, funny, and engaging characters through classical theatre and modern improv skills. Find both your comfort zone and stretch your range, find the balance between honest and absurd, initiate with intention and help your scene partners find their own character qualities.
This class is only open to students who have completed Level 1: The Offer OR to those who have successfully auditioned to skip Level 1.

Level 3: THE STAGE
Now that we have an ensemble mindset and can create characters that we all want to see, it’s time to work out how to make it slick on stage.This class ends in an grad show; a performance to strut your stuff from the first three levels for your friends and family.
This class is only open to students who have completed Level 2: The Character OR to those who have completed the Actors Accelerator.

Level 4: The Scene
Now it’s time to settle down and finetune our scene work – we start to make longer formats meaningful in their comedy, using the relationships and craft already under our belts. Focusing on two person scenes in the La Ronde format, each week you will build your confidence on the stage, using silence, scene work and emotion to make choices that inspire you and your partner.
This class is only open to students who have completed Level 3: The Stage.

Level 5: The Harold
In this level, we explore The Harold, a structured improvised format conceived by acclaimed American improviser and teacher Del Close and his ensemble. The Harold forms the basic, international language of long form and is the entry point into figuring out what works about playing themes, challenging theatrical and comedy convention, really focusing group mind in an ensemble performance.
This class is only open to students who have completed Level 4: The Scene.

Level 6: THE SHOW
We’ve worked through stagecraft and character skills; we’re a tight ensemble that’s been together for almost a year now; we’ve performed the benchmark of long form improvisation, The Harold – so what’s next? Level 6 is about finding your form. We take everything you’ve done so far and mix it with everything you like about, well, everything.Plus, every week you’ll perform the format you’ve learned that week in the Level 6 Weekly Showcase right after class!
This class is only open to students who have completed Level 5: The Harold.
